Frank Erb - Capitol Commission (USA)

Frank Erb - Capitol Commission (USA)

 Praise:
o Senator Brian Jones, who is the Republican leader of our State Senate, invited me down to San Diego to speak at a breakfast event he hosted for a group of 35 pastors and ministry leaders from throughout his district. It was a blessing to be there to share about my work in our Capitol and how God is at work through it. I was also able to interact with the Senator and to meet with and reach out to many of his Senate staff members.  o I have been having many excellent one-on-one meetings with many men who are Capitol Lobbyists who want to be closer to the Lord. Lobbyists are hugely influential in our Capitol, which is why they are sometimes called the Third House along with the Senate and the Assembly, so this has a ripple effect throughout our government.

Prayer:  o I am inviting many Capitol Lobbyists, who I have been discipling one-on-one, to come together as a group to discuss the Lord and grow in Him. This has great potential for good, and as far as I know has never been done. Please pray that God draws them and guides, as they are all busy executives and so making time for another meeting is not easy for them.  o As we head towards the end of the year, this is an essential time for me to connect with ministry financial supporters. Please pray God guides me in this and provides for all He wants done in the year ahead.

Karen Devers— Ripe for Harvest (Global)

Praise:   We had over 70 leaders at the MICN Global Gathering in Thailand (Oct 6-9) where the Ambassador Prayer Team were invited to pray on site for the events and leaders. This meeting was for the leaders to collaborate, strategize and encourage one another. MICN has committed to prioritize prayer and our team was part of the initial movement.   o After physical challenges in the spring, Emily Froehlich, US Rowing Team, followed her coach’s advice to focus on her recovery from May-October. In August she moved to Oakland, Ca for training and found a great church and started attending Bible school. Her body has recovered and she attended a regatta in Boston, Mass. Her team won 1st place out of 58 boats. What a great victory after a challenging year.   •

Kennedy Salano - 316 Transformational
Sports Ministry (East Africa)

Praise:   We are so grateful to God for quite a successful camp on the Kenya South Sudan border. Through the John 3:16 tournament platform, we were able to reach over 300 youths and kids. It was quite humbling to see many of them play and also pray a prayer of repentance after the event. We were also able to launch a Bible school class off over 35 pastors who lead churches under trees. Indeed, the harvest is ripe and the workers are few.  o We praise God for great openings in the war-torn country of Congo. A few years ago, through LCC support, I trained pastor Ezekiel on how to reach out through sports. Recently we connected and are on the path of working and walking together again. He is excited about the renewed partnership even in an unpredictable setting while serving.

Prayer:   Pray that the young people in this mission station will fully give themselves in living for God and serving Him to the fullest. Pray for the pastors who, despite being in a harsh environment, have given themselves sacrificially to reach out to their communities.  o Pray for pastor Ezekiel and the people of Eastern Congo that the peace of God will prevail and that more of the Congo young people will be won to Christ. Pray also for me as I am now in Zanzibar on a follow up on my Timothy who has just planted a church. Pray that we shall be the Salt and the Light as we promote the love of God.

Ruth Veltkamp - Set Free Ministries (Nigeria)

Praise:  o Thank God that we were able to send 1,000 Tuareg New Testaments to be distributed among Tuaregs in Niger and in diaspora in many different countries.  o Thank God that Ruth was able to teach a two-week masters-level module on cross-cultural missions at West Africa Theological Seminary in Lagos, Nigeria. Ten of her fifteen students came from the severely persecuted church in northeastern Nigeria.

Prayer:  o Each of her students are to write up a proposal for sharing their vision of cross-cultural missions with their home churches. Pray for Ruth as she grades the papers and sends them words of counsel and encouragement. May the students experience working with the Holy Spirit as they urge their churches to get involved in making disciples of all nations and language groups.  o IMANI parents are asking for another conference for their young people who are being tempted by their peers to take drugs, which in turn leads to other evil practices. Pray especially for Mullen, an IMANI leader very popular and effective in training young people in the Way of Jesus.

Steve and Dawn Liberti;<br>NAB Conference/Proclaim Ministries (Germany/Global)

Steve and Dawn Liberti;
NAB Conference/Proclaim Ministries (Germany/Global)

Praise:   We are praising God for the opportunity of a Proclaim team to make a ministry development trip to Japan and Malaysia. Our contact in a closed country in the region is planning for a worship conference in Malaysia. We have been invited as an organization to Japan to explore evangelistic outreach opportunities there. These are both very exciting opportunities and we pray for great Kingdom building outcomes for both of these visits.  o Praise God for an opportunity for Steve to take on a leadership role with Proclaim. This is a big responsibility and is not taken lightly. It is a great honor and privilege to be a part in leading our mission into the next years as we play a role in God’s great Kingdom building work.

Prayer:   Please pray for our upcoming conference we at Proclaim call The Gathering. This is a time of rest, spiritual renewal, meetings, vision casting for the next ministry year and fellowship with our colleagues. Pray for God’s leading and wisdom as we come together as a community and seek God’s will for our lives and next steps in ministry.  o Please pray for our daughter Sofia's friend whose family member, a Christian missionary, was abducted two weeks ago in Niger. Please pray for his release and that he will be returned to his family in good health. Also pray that his abductors hearts would be opened and that they would come to faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ring Dilbung—East India

Praise:   Praise God for the sewing He has allowed me to learn. I learned to sew a few items like scrunchies, potholders, and Aprons. I sell them to support kids in Angel Home.  o Praise God for the sewing training that I have been able to teach to widows and underprivileged people. I pray with them every day before they start their work, many chances for non-believers. I am excited about sharing the Gospel with them.   o Our kids are really improved spiritually. Praise God because the kids become smarter every day because of LCC prayer. Please convey our joy to the people at LCC!

Prayers:   Please pray for the Sewing Project. We want to give free training to widows and underprivileged people, however, I need sustainable resources for kids in Angel Home. Please pray that this will be accomplished. I already have 10 sewing machines donated by well-wishers.  o Please pray for children. Final exam in November.
