Frank Erb - Capitol Commission (USA)

Frank Erb - Capitol Commission (USA)

Praise: Praising God as a sizeable group of our State Assembly Members are now meeting for private group prayer before their Assembly Floor Sessions. This is something I have been urging them to do for many years. (The official “prayer” before every Assembly floor session this year is led by a Buddhist minister in the name of a particular Buddha.) A number of our state Senators and Assembly Members from both parties, along with many Lobbyists, are planning a breakfast gathering near the Capitol to thank me for my ministry there. It is a huge honor for me, but I’m especially thanking God for this unexpected opportunity for the name of Jesus to be lifted up in our very secular and agnostic Capitol environment.

Prayer: The Capitol is at peak busyness now, which means everyone at the Capitol is running (often literally) to keep up with their busy schedules. Plus, the two parties are at peak political polarization and animosity. In this crazy environment, I continue to reach out to all and invite them to meet privately to discuss the Lord or attend our weekly small group Bible Discussions that I teach. Please pray God continues to draw many to want to meet with me to learn about the Lord. A State Legislator, who is a non-believer, told me he would like to start meeting with me privately every week to learn about the Bible. This is in response to me reaching out to him for years. His schedule is extremely full, so actually doing this will be a challenge for him and his staff who manage his schedule. Please pray God motivates them to follow through with it. I have been invited to speak at an international gathering of pastors and government leaders in the Dominican Republic in October. I need God’s wisdom about whether I should accept this invitation and provision if so

Henry and Grace Banda - YOLEDS (Youth Leadership Development in Sport) (Malawi)

Henry and Grace Banda - YOLEDS (Youth Leadership Development in Sport) (Malawi)

Praise: In the month of July, as a ministry, we held a two day community sports outreach for local churches. It was a proclamation outreach (Romans 10:14-15). The big picture of this outreach was evangelism and discipleship. The principles and practice were used. That is why it was a successful event. o Statistics: Reached 340. 300 gave their lives to Jesus. 100 men, 100 women and 100 youths. Praise God.

Prayer: Sports is the foundation of our ministry. Pray for the ministry to maintain this core value. This helps to reach the people who do not attend church. Sports is the vehicle to cross over to the church. A Moslem family gave their lives to Jesus during the outreach. Pray for their spiritual growth. Our country will hold general elections in September. Pray for us that the elections will be peaceful.

Jay Devers - Dynamic Church Planting International (Worldwide)

  Jay Devers—Dynamic Church Planting International (Worldwide

Praise: I participated in a conference in Dearborn, Michigan during the week of July 25-30. About 50-60 participated in training and outreach. I heard of two Muslim women came to the Lord. Dearborn and surrounding areas are the largest concentration of Muslims in the USA. I made several significant contacts with ministries in the area. I hope to raise up multiple teams reaching out to Muslims, similar to the team I helped form that is continuing with the Afghans in Sacramento. We’ve moved into our new home near Saginaw, Michigan. We are just three miles from Karen’s parents. It is a house built in 1969, has a basement and a pole barn. We are getting settled and I am reaching out to surrounding churches and ministries. It is well with our souls.

Prayer: We had a significant training being set up to happen in Dubai with around fifty leaders from Central Asia. The venue was reserved and a deposit sent. Without explanation, the venue returned the deposit and said it would not be possible to have our event there. We are now pursuing to have the event in South Korea in October. Please pray that this goes well. I am working with Jay Smith to mass produce some of his materials used in the conferences such as the Dearborn one above. I think I’ve got a really good printer locally. Pray for global impact for the two billion Muslims in the world.

Karen Devers— Ripe for Harvest (Global)

Praise: The ‘Ripe for Harvest World Outreach’ Global Conference (June 25-28) came at just the right time in this transition. It was good to get my mind focused more in the international missions circle. The conference is an umbrella for about 150 missionaries with unique callings all over the world. The leaders have been missionaries for years and love their ‘people’. One of the international missionary families I meet online is the Lama family, Gyan and Chumlano, in Kathmandu, Nepal. I have been meeting with them monthly since I met them in February at the MICN Asis Recharge conference. Last month they were dealing with the suicide of a refugee who was serving at their church. It was so hard for them all. It is an honor to be a listening ear to these leaders called by God.

  Prayer: On October 2-9, I will be attending the Missional International Church Network, (MICN), Global Conference in Phuket, Thailand. There are six of us ‘Regional Prayer Ambassadors’ that will be attending and making ourselves available for pastors and spouses attending this event. MICN is doing all they can to make prayer a higher priority network wide and it is an honor to be part of this push. October 10-13, I’ll be attending a follow-up prayer and communion gathering at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Last year I attended the ‘Million Women Esther Call’, a powerful day of worship, prayer, confession and repentance most specifically for the USA. Please pray about others God would like to join me and for those I am to connect with. We have seen God move since last October here in the USA and must keep moving forward.

  Praise: Held three camps. Saw over 100 kids rededicating themselves to Christ. We give God all the glory. A few months ago, coach MSwaki was a non-believer who did not go to church. After reaching out to him, I am amazed how he has changed totally for the better. He is on the forefront of teaching his team the fear of God.

Pray: Pray for the last camp and bush ministry being held around the Kenya – South Sudan border. Trusting God for a great impact. o Pray for the Higher Power Balls ministry, that the Lord will continue to touch many as we share the love of God with them.

Lincoln Christian Academy, Lincoln, CA (USA)

Lincoln Christian Academy, Lincoln, CA (USA)

   Praise: We have officially started the school year, and everything is going so well. Praise God. Families are excited to be back, and our students are full of joy. We also thank Him for our amazing returning staff and are looking forward to an incredible, Christ-centered year ahead!

Prayer: Please join us in praying that the Holy Spirit will move mightily through our school, and that each of our students will grow in their love for and worship of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We also ask for prayer over the health and wellness of our staff, families, and students throughout this year.

Michael and Irina;
Slavic Gospel Association (Asia)

  Praise: o We completed all our summer ministry trips (mostly by air). All the trips were safe, and this summer we shared Christ with the greatest number of children and adults of al the previous summers. God blessed our ministry teams with new members who are willing to keep serving in the future.

Prayer: Pray that I would complete the process of getting my Aircraft Technician Certificate in Russian. Pray for the safe return of our ministry partner family from the U.S. in October.

Paul and Grace Moses;
India Sports Ministry/Sangita Charitable Trust/Widows’ Program (India)

Paul and Grace Moses;
India Sports Ministry/Sangita Charitable Trust/Widows’ Program (India)

  Praise: Very productive meetings on review of Sports Ministry strategies, direction, values and development. We are also preparing and planning for the next five years. Very good conversations, some hard conversations, direction of travel. Values alignment and review of strategies. Go Sport Conference: for the very first time in the history of India Sports Ministry, we hosted an exclusive Go Sport conference with 30 Sport Mission Leaders. Was great to be in a room full of Players who have played and coached sports. We had teaching content which was more than enough. Was Brilliant to be in this room. What was once thought can be done only by the Developed Western World sports ministries because of their long years of experience and resources, happened at our doorstep with local resources, local strategies and local experiences. The quality of the conference was amazing very very satisfying and this can only get better. A very significant milestone in the history of India Sports Ministries. Praise the Lord!

Prayer: Pray for our most vulnerable widows, whom we serve, for comfort in every way as they are rejected by their own. Please pray for Paul and Grace as we serve the Lord through Sports Ministry. Please pray for Grace’s health that she may, God willing, find some rest for the busy schedule of many responsibilities. Please pray for the children, the widows and all other people groups whom we serve.

Ruth Veltkamp - Set Free Ministries (Nigeria)

Ruth Veltkamp - Set Free Ministries (Nigeria)

  Praise: Abbas, a wise Tuareg religious leader, was well respected by many because of his honest and generous leadership. Now that he has become a Christian, many are open to listening to him as he distributes Tuareg New Testaments and explains the Gospel. Give thanks that Tuareg young people are responding to the Gospel. Young men and young women are posting preaching and praise songs about Jesus on TikTok.

Prayer: Plans to send Tuareg New Testaments to Tuareg migrant workers in Europe and the Middle East as well as more for the Tuaregs in Africa. Pray for the Tuaregs to see how these NTs point to the living Word of God, Jesus, with whom they can have a relationship for eternity. In Nigeria there is a very influential religious leader who has a following of over two million Muslims around the world through his internet network. He has become convinced of the Truth of Jesus. Pray for God’s guidance and wisdom for the next steps for him and those discipling him.

Steve and Dawn Liberti;
NAB Conference/Proclaim Ministries (Germany/Global)

Steve and Dawn Liberti;
NAB Conference/Proclaim Ministries (Germany/Global)

Praise: We are praising God for a very wonderful and fruitful time of hosting long term interns in various parts of the world with Proclaim International. We are dedicated to creating opportunities for younger people to experience missions and hopefully be led by God to vocational ministry. Currently we have long term interns in Lima Peru, the Balkans and short termers in South Africa and recently in Poland. Praise God for expanding opportunities in the far east, in closed countries where there is persecution and antagonism towards The Gospel yet opportunities to reach the unreached. There are plans for exploration of ministry, by invitation, to a particular country in this region of the world where there is great opportunity for The Gospel to be moved forward among reached peoples.

Prayer: Please pray for our evangelistic ministry efforts currently underway her in North Macedonia. We are supporting small, under resourced churches with evangelistic outreach outside the walls of the church, in the public forum. The local municipalities have been very generous with permissions and actually are encouraged by the message of hope, peace and our dedication to our walk with Jesus. We know God is at work here, even in the dark corners of the strongholds of the enemy in this country. Please pray for Steve as after this ministry effort, he returns to Croatia for a second evangelistic campaign in support of Croation churches. Please pray for a dear friend in California who was instrumental in our coming to faith. Our dear friend Bill is facing a second surgery for rectal colon cancer. He survived a surgery 20 years ago but the cancer had returned. He was scheduled for surgery on August 26th. Please pray that the surgery was successful and that the surgery was miraculously uneventful. Also, please pray for his wife Janie who has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

Sacramento Valley Teen Challenge (USA)

Sacramento Valley Teen Challenge (USA)

Praise: Our students were blessed and thankful to be able to minister at various churches this summer through song and inspiring testimonies. o We are so thankful for every prayer partner, volunteer, and donor who comes alongside our students to be able to give them this opportunity for a new life in Christ.

Prayers: Please pray for the success of our Fall Galas coming up in September. For anyone who might be interested in attending, all of the information is on our website at www.teenchallenge.net. Please pray that the Lord would bring in the needed staff so we can fill our centers to capacity and be able to reach even more of the lost and broken with the love of Jesus Christ.

Ring Dilbung—East India

Ring Dilbung—East India

  Praise: Praise God for His faithfulness and for your continued prayers toward Angel Home. During the summer break, the children received vocational skill training and have grown with valuable skills that will help them in the future towards sustainability. Praise God for the opportunity to reach out, pray, and share the gospel with the sick, elderly, and mentally challenged within our state and in neighboring areas. Truly, His heart is close to the broken and weary.

Prayers: Please uphold our women’s Bible study group as we plan to reach the borders of Bhutan to share the Gospel and also visit orphan children from non-believing families. Kindly pray for Angel Home as we prepare to extend skill training opportunities to other orphanages, widows, and underprivileged groups in society, so they too may find hope and dignity in Christ.
